About Us
How this started
A few friends, a kitchen, and a lot of bath bomb molds. That was more or less the beginning.
A kitchen,
a few friends,
a lot of batches
Gnome's Creations started with a group of friends who all made different things. Someone was obsessed with bath bombs. Someone else was mixing solid perfumes in mason jars. Tea parties and crochet plushies joined the table later.
We still run the same way. Everything gets mixed in small batches out of a kitchen in the Pacific Northwest. The bath bombs are pressed by hand. The lip balms are poured by hand. When a batch is gone, we make another one.
Our rule for ingredients is simple: if we wouldn't put it on our own skin, it doesn't go in the product. That's why we use organic sunflower oil, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba, beeswax, and Epsom salt. The only synthetic things in our products are the naturally-derived fragrance oils, and even those we pick carefully.
We're a small operation and we like it that way. It means we can try new things (tea party workshops, mystery plushie boxes, solid perfumes in tins) without running it past a committee. It also means if you email us, one of us reads it and one of us writes back.
What we care about
Skin-first ingredients
Organic sunflower oil, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba, Epsom salt, beeswax, vitamin E. All things your skin recognizes. Nothing synthetic hiding in the background.
Small batches, by hand
Mixed, pressed, wrapped, and boxed by us. A few hundred at a time, not a few hundred thousand. When something sells out, we make more.
Friends who make things
The Gnomes' Gallery is our corner for local makers we love. Crochet plushies, tapestries, one-off pieces. If a friend is building something good, we want to help get it in front of people.
Tea party workshops
We bring 15+ loose teas and herbs. You pick what goes in your blend, bag it up, and take it home. We run these for birthdays, bridal showers, team nights, and book clubs.
